Backups, Employee (Poll Question)

Last updated by Jeff Hajek on October 1, 2020

Creating a great continuous improvement culture means lots of projects. That, in turn, means a lot of people will be away from their jobs on a regular basis. In addition, more minds looking at a process means more ideas on how to improve it.

Both of these require that employees have backups ready, willing, and able to step in and take over their work as needed.

Let us know how your company does at providing backups for its employees. This question does not pertain to assembly line work. Nearly all assembly lines have a backup system in place so it doesn’t shut down due to absences.

Other than assembly line work, does your company have cross-trained employees who can step in when someone is absent, or rotate jobs to promote improvement?
