The Time Observation Form is more commonly known as the Time Observation Sheet. In the Lean workplace it is one of the forms used to document Standard Work.
The Time Observation Form allows an observer to document several cycles of a process, recording the time each task takes.
By analyzing the multiple cycles recorded on the Time Observation Form, the observer can better understand the variation in the process.
This knowledge can either be used to make improvements, or it can be used to establish the times that will be shown on the Standard Work Combination Sheet.
