Root Cause Analysis and 5 Whys Lean Training

Root cause analysis simply means getting to the bottom of things. It is a problem solving practice intended to prevent treating a symptom rather than the underlying cause.

Root cause analysis works because of the existence of the cause and effect principle, which means that for every effect, there is a cause in an upstream process step (or steps).

The most commonly used and simplest of the problem solving tools is the 5 Whys. It is easy to teach, easy to use, and very effective in the right situations. Our 5 Whys training clarifies what those situations are.
