Lean Training System

Last updated by Jeff Hajek on May 30, 2023

The Lean Training System is an extensive program designed to give you the tools you need to elevate your team’s performance, and your own.

Individual vs. Team

  • Team Development: We offer training materials that you can use to teach individual classes or that can be used to create a comprehensive training program. Our licensing terms are liberal. Most include a one time, permanent licensing fee. Corporate licenses allow you to share the information throughout your organization (restrictions apply, such as a limit of 20,000 employees per license.)
  • Individual Development: Our wide range of Terms on PDFs, MP3s, Videos, Articles, forms & tools, and much more means it’ll be a long, long, long time before you run out of learning opportunities.

Pricing

  • Free Content: We offer a vast range of free resources. Visit our Free Forms & Tools page to learn more.
  • Premium Content: If you want to go beyond the free content and strive for truly great performance, you’ll need to invest in your team, and in yourself. Visit our online store to see all that we offer.

The Lean Training System has been something of an evolution. Originally, it was just our blog. Then we created ‘The Continuous Improvement Companion”, our online reference guide. We then started creating training modules, and originally called that the Lean Training System. Most recently, we added the ‘Nuts & Bolts Guide to Continuous Improvement’, which provides a practical approach to Lean.

We realized that there was tremendous overlap in all of these resources, so we made the Lean Training System the umbrella for all of the training resources we offer.

  • The Continuous Improvement Companion: The CIC was originally intended to be a published work, and started out as a ‘brain dump’ of continuous improvement information. It rapidly ballooned to a document of over 700 pages, which necessitated a different approach. The online resource guide was born.
  • The Gotta Go Lean Blog: This was our first online presence. It was originally focused on promoting our founder’s (Jeff Hajek) first book, Whaddaya Mean I Gotta Be Lean?, but soon took on its own identity. Many of the articles on here are promoted to LTS articles and show up in the three main categories.
  • Velaction.com Website: The website provides a framework to hold make all of our information easily accessible to you. There are also nuggets of information here that don’t fall cleanly into one of the Lean Training System categories.
  • Continuous Improvement Transformation Model: While people love the versatility and flexibility of a modular training program, some people struggle with the lack of structure. This model filled that void by framing up our training materials into a more structured approach.
  • Training Modules: Over the years, as clients request specific training materials, we’ve added to our lineup of modules. They are designed to be used as either stand-alone training, or to be combined into a training program. Keep in mind that as our free products are part of our modules and are listed side by side with our premium product in our store.
