Course Description
While proven in manufacturing, Kaizen Events hold even greater promise for implementing rapid improvement in office, service, and knowledge work environments, where the workforce is less accustomed to cross-functional problem-solving, measuring process performance, and absorbing rapid change. However, holding Kaizen Events in these settings require significant planning, skilled facilitation, and intensive follow-up activities to ensure sustainable results. In this two-part webinar, Karen will share what it takes for a successful Kaizen Event that not only generates rapid results, but also develops the workforce and shifts culture.
In this Lean Office Training, participants will learn:
· The difference between kaizen and Kaizen Events.
· When to use Kaizen Events.
· Step-by-step approach for planning and executing office- and service-based Kaizen Events.
· The “Kaizen Commandments” that reduce common pitfalls.
· How to create a sustainability plan with teeth.
· How to navigate the common obstacles to success.
Part I will focus on event planning. Part II will focus on event execution and follow-up.
A no-cost 30 minute Q&A will be held immediately following the presentations to aid in a deeper discussion of key success factors.
